In the context of the search for sustainability, states and private operators highly develop the renewable energies. Wind turbines are among the most popular ones. The coexistence of the wind turbines with the systems using radiowaves is a major concern. Because of their size, complex composition, and fast rotating blades, the impact of wind turbines on radiowaves is hard to predict.
To mitigate windturbine impacts on radar signatures, to differenciate the Doppler signature of a UAV from the one of a wind turbine, to anticipate the effects of a wind farm on a radiowave-based system are among the many problems that must be addressed.
The EMWT specialist meeting, held this year 2019 in Toulouse, is the opportunity to gather experts and researchers in this area of expertise for fruitful discussions and sharing ideas.
